The Governing Council of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State, has approved the promotion of Dr. Amarachukwu Obayiuwana of the Department of Biological Sciences to the rank of Associate Professor (Reader).

The promotion was ratified at the Council's meeting held on Wednesday, 20th May, 2026, following Dr. Obayiuwana's distinguished record of excellence in teaching, research, scholarly publications, and service to the University.

The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff, and students, congratulated Dr. Obayiuwana on the well-deserved promotion, describing it as a recognition of her dedication, hard work, and scholarly achievements.

The Augustine University community celebrates this important milestone and wishes Associate Professor Amarachukwu Obayiuwana continued success as she advances the frontiers of research, teaching, and community service in her new academic rank.
