Augustine University Observes Solemn Ash Wednesday with Holy Mass at the Convocation Hall

In a deeply moving ceremony, Augustine University ushered in the season of Lent by hosting a Holy Mass at the Convocation Hall to mark Ash Wednesday on 14th February, 2024. 

In attendance were students, faculty, and staff members of the Institution.

Ash Wednesday, which falls on the first day of Lent in the Christian liturgical calendar, holds immense significance for believers. 

Augustine University, in keeping with tradition, organized a solemn Holy Mass to commence the period of penance and preparation for Easter.

Attendees humbly received the ashes on their foreheads in the shape of a cross, a powerful symbol of mortality and the call to repentance.
