Professor Adesola Adetutu Ajayi, a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences has been selected by the ReachSci Global Project as a local mentor for the Project.

The ReachSci Project is a collaboration between the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in the University of Cambridge and other universities all over the world. The mini-PhD project involved a member of staff -Mrs. Pauline Atanley and six students from the Departments of Biological Sciences and Chemical Sciences.

As part of her efforts to encourage research among the students, Professor Ajayi accepted applications from  students of the University . The six students that made up the first batch of students to assist in the research work are:

Melissa Akorah (Department of Biological Sciences)

Precious Ajanaku (Department of Biological Sciences)

Chisom Nnaji (Department of Biological Sciences)

Mercy Pulka (Department of Chemical Sciences)

Teniola Gomez (Department of Chemical Sciences)

Twenty countries are involved in the 2022 project.
