Mr. Egbert Imomoh, the Non-Executive Chairman and a co-founder of Afren Plc, advised students of Augustine University to be cautious of being overconfident. He said this in a motivational speech to the students at the start of the second semester 2021/2022 Academic Session. In his lecture titled “The Choices We Make”, he reiterated the importance of using time well and making the best choices, no matter how hard they may be. The choices we are presented in life may include friends, career, habits and these will determine the trajectory of your lives, he said. He added that slow progress was better than no action at all and students should not be afraid to try as there is always room for improvement. The lecture was attended by The Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Principal Librarian and Deans, staff and students.
